Hybrid In-House Legal Counsel II Role

In this role, you will utilize your expertise to manage accident benefits disputes effectively, working autonomously within a high-performing legal framework. With a minimum of five years of relevant experience, you will engage with the License Appeal Tribunal, advocating for strategic indemnity management. Your participation will not only drive efficiency but also foster a culture of collaborative problem solving among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee accident benefits and priority dispute management
• Appear and represent cases before legal tribunals
• Collaborate with legal and support staff effectively
• Control indemnity with a focus on cost management
• Mentor colleagues by sharing legal insights
Requirements:
• Licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario
• Minimum 5 years in insurance litigation
• Expertise in handling Accident Benefits claims
• Experience in tribunal appearances
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
