Overview Of Role

WestJet is seeking both an Intermediate and a Senior analyst to join the Business Transformation team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transformation Intelligence, these roles will be the analytical engine behind WestJet's executive decision-making.

These analysts will provide executive-grade analysis, synthesis, and storytelling to support the Executive Committee (ExComm) and Board audiences; converting ambiguous questions into structured, evidence-based narratives. The work is fast-paced and high-visibility: preparing board decks, senior-level briefing materials, and slide presentations that help leadership make better decisions.

They will synthesize inputs in areas like operational performance, financial data, demand modeling, and competitive intelligence to deliver clear, compelling insights. These roles will play a critical role in storytelling to the board of directors on a monthly basis and supporting ad hoc analysis requests. What You Will Do Day-to-Day

• Lead preparation of ExComm, Board, and senior-level meeting materials, including slide decks, briefing documents, and executive summaries
• Convert ambiguous executive questions into structured analysis with clear takeaways and recommendations
• Synthesize inputs across portfolio, performance, and market intelligence into cohesive narratives
• Support and evolve WestJet's demand model, contributing to forecasting and scenario analysis
• Contribute to competitive intelligence efforts, including peer benchmarking, KPI monitoring, and competitor health estimation
• Provide surge analytical support to priority transformation programs as needed

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 2 – 8+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, analytics, or a related role involving structured problem solving and executive communication
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including scenario analysis and synthesis of diverse data inputs
• Experience preparing board materials, slide decks, and executive-level reports
• Ability to translate complexity into clear, compelling storytelling for senior audiences
• Comfortable engaging senior leaders and working with ambiguity
• Proactive, curious, and action-oriented

Additional Qualifications Considered An Asset

• Management consulting experience is considered an asset
• Advanced data engineering or analytics skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Snowflake, Power BI)
• Experience with demand forecasting, market modeling, or competitive benchmarking
• Background in building dashboards, automated reporting, or data visualization for executive audiences
