About the Role:
Currently, Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Accountant reporting to the Corporate Controller.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Entering and validating data in accounting systems (ERP, Excel)
- Posting cash receipts from clients and managing Accounts Receivable
- Reviewing and posting Accounts Payable entries
- Drafting journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Preparing tax and burden remittances for review
- Assisting with procurement training for site coordinators and superintendents
- Completing internal audits and assisting in month-end reporting
- Ensuring accuracy in financial recording and compliance
- Maintaining organized records for audits and regulatory reviews
- Additional duties as required to support accounting and organizational goals
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary Business Administration and/or Accounting diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years experience in accounting role and familiarity with Canadian accounting standards required
- Bilingualism in French and English required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and data entry
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
