Based in Sudbury, ON , the  Survey Technician will report to the Survey Crew Chief and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that provides a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning. This is an existing vacancy within the organization. The wage range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 hourly.

What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team, you will:

 

• Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment
• Organize field equipment and supplies
• Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order
• Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities
• Clear away bush and trees from lines of a survey as needed

What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have completed at least a two year college program in Survey Technician, Civil Engineering Technician or Technology, or have equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have:

 

• At least 3 years experience working in the surveying field
• Proficiency in the use of various survey instruments, calculators, levels, and GPS field equipment or have the aptitude to learn
• High motivation with results-oriented focus
• Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
• A valid, Class G driver’s licence
