The Analyst, Portfolio Management, reporting to the Manager, Portfolio Management, provides critical support to the Portfolio Management Team within the Asset Management Group (AMG) in the administration of mortgage investments made by a broad investor network. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to build or expand their foundation in real estate finance, with exposure to a diverse portfolio and investor base.This position is full time in-person based out of our St. Albert office.This Position OffersLove where you work! Our office is a modern welcoming environment, located in St. Albert – Suite #106, 205 Carnegie Drive, with free onsite parking.Competitive salary plus semi-annual bonus structure.Comprehensive benefits package, which includes extended health care (with paramedical coverage), dental, health spending account, Employee & Family Assistance Program as well as life & disability insurance.RRSP matching program.Join our dynamic supportive work environment where we have regular events, lunches, and team-building activities.We foster and mentor your growth & development, often promoting within.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning and Development, Economics).Experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry is an asset.Experience as a default analyst is considered an asset.Excellent financial analysis skills, including the ability to review and interpret corporate financial statements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.Experience with Business Intelligence tools is an asset.High attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting.Ability to multi-task and adapt in a rapidly changing environment with shifting deadlines and priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management & ReportingPrepare and distribute investor-specific and portfolio-wide reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Assist in the review of interest reserve sufficiency for construction and bridge loans, including preparing Interest Reserve Sufficiency reports for stakeholder review.Support the completion of annual and periodic reviews of mortgage facilities held by investors, including:Reviewing annual financial and personal net worth statements for loan sponsors (borrowers and/or guarantors).Reviewing property-specific reporting, such as rent rolls, operating statements, CMHC affordability analysis and supporting documentation.Reviewing leasing and sales reports.Preparing updated underwriting and up-to-date proforma analyses as applicable.Asset Oversight & AdministrationOversee the performance of assets and/or projects securing AMG mortgage investments, monitoring key metrics and identifying risks or opportunities for optimization.Facilitate renewals, assumptions, and amendments of mortgages held with AMG investors.Team Collaboration & SupportProvide support to Documentation, Funding, and Servicing teams within the AMG Group as required.Collaborate with the Manager, Portfolio Management and other team members to ensure best-in-class service and reporting for investors.About Canada ICICanada ICI is the country's leading commercial real estate finance firm, annually arranging financing above $9 Billion through its offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Montréal, Calgary, St. Albert, Edmonton, Ottawa, Halifax, and Winnipeg.
