Senior Analyst Role in Finance - Contract

Our client seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract based in the Greater Toronto Area. The role emphasizes comprehensive accounting practices and meticulous financial reporting in line with IFRS. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will oversee full cycle accounting, prepare detailed analyses, and ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards. Your responsibilities include managing journal entries, conducting thorough internal reviews, and preparing necessary financial documentation. Ideal for someone with strong analytical abilities ready to take on new challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle complete accounting cycle and journal entries
- Execute financial analysis of results effectively
- Provide thorough reviews of internal management reporting
- Oversee preparation of tax provisions and returns
- Maintain compliance with IFRS regulations
- CPA designation or nearing completion
- 4+ years of finance-related experience
- Proficiency in IFRS standards and taxation
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
- Strong capabilities with Oracle and Excel tools
