Filler General Labourer

Our client, a long-time local manufacturer, is looking for a General Labourer for a Filler position within their organization! Our client produces a variety of refinishing and repair products for automotive and industrial application.
This role will essentially be filling product into cans. You must be able to lift 50 lbs, read/write/understand English fluently, and be able to wear a respirator when required. As such, it is an ongoing requirement to clean-shaven.
Salary:
$23.00 per hour, temporary to permanent.
Hours of Work:
Training: Currently: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Starting June 15th: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm
Once training is over (after 3 to 4 weeks): Night Shift: Monday - Wednesday, 4:30pm - 5:30am
Responsibilities
- Filling product into cans as required by the manufacturing order.
- Working with fellow team members on requirements and quality to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
- Routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, as needed.
- General help with other tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a strong asset.
- M ust be able to read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Able to wear a respirator when required (clean-shaven) as you will be working with chemicals.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work night-shift, full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Demonstrable work ethic and reliability.
