Assistant Vice-President Credit Risk Management

Lead corporate credit risk decisions at BDC through bilingual expertise, portfolio oversight, and strong relationships with first-line teams.The Assistant Vice-President, Credit Risk Management, Corporate Financing and Syndication, reviews loan applications and determines approval or recommendation. This senior role monitors credit quality, compliance, authorizations, disbursements, and amendments. It also strengthens first-line risk practices through coaching, communication, and transaction alignment.Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve, recommend, or decline loansMonitor credit quality, compliance, and portfolio integrityCoach staff on credit competency and risk managementSupport transaction structuring, visits, and business-unit meetingsLead improvements to lending policies, processes, and productsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administrationAt least 10 years’ financial-institution experienceAt least five years in Credit Risk ManagementExperience with corporate financing, syndication, or complex lendingFrench and English bilingualism with strong communication skillsBring credit risk leadership, corporate financing expertise, and bilingual coaching skills to BDC’s Corporate Financing and Syndication portfolio.
