Business Development Manager (Alternative Mortgages)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to expand our mortgage origination business across Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with licensed mortgage brokers and agents to drive mortgage funding volume.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record in mortgage lending or financial sales, strong networking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with licensed mortgage brokers, brokerages, and agents to drive consistent mortgage origination.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities , onboard new brokers, and increase funded loan volumes.
• Present Indigoblue MIC's mortgage products and services to broker partners through meetings, presentations, and industry events.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategic sales planning , setting targets, and identifying market opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive products, and industry shifts to provide insights to the credit and leadership teams.
• Work collaboratively with the marketing team in the creation & delivery of unique marketing campaigns , promotional materials, and event organization.
• Track and maintain an accurate sales pipeline , providing regular updates and forecasts.
• Represent Indigoblue MIC at mortgage industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows.
• Work cross-functionally with underwriting and credit teams to ensure seamless broker experience and deal execution.

Qualifications

• M inimum 2 -3 years of experience in mortgage sales, private/alternative lending, or financial services.
• Strong existing network of mortgage brokers and industry professionals (preferred).
• Proven ability to generate and close new business deals , exceeding sales targets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills .
• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to assess risk and structure deals effectively .
• Highly organized and self-motivated , with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and underwriting platforms .
• Willingness to travel to broker meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed.

Compensation

Successful candidate will have no ceiling on total compensation earned. Compensation will be made up of a base salary of $65,000 to $80,000, plus uncapped variable commissions, 100% employer paid benefits, and mileage reimbursement.
