We are looking for someone with a few years experience in a kitchen that can take a leadership role in all areas of the kitchen. This would included prepping, expediting, task management, quality control, and some ordering. Hours and days can be somewhat flexible.

A small, well organized, very clean, open style kitchen. No flat-top, deep fryer, or open flames so you are going home hot and greasy smelling like a kitchen. A great team of young cooks and a wonderful working atmosphere free from drama and all that usual restaurant nonsense. It's somewhere where you will feel appreciated for the work that you do. Lots of room for creativity and input onto the regular seasonal menus and specials.

Duties - Oversee many aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, ordering, organization, and cleaning- Ensure high-quality food production and presentation in line with the restaurant's standards- Prepping food fast and efficiently- Supervise kitchen staff- Lead the kitchen team through cooking daily service rushes- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and specials

Qualifications - Proven experience as a Line Supervisor or Sous Chef- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques- Excellent leadership and communication skills- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices

Not Necessary but a Good Asset - Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred- Experience with Sysco and GFS ordering systems- Food Safety Level 1 & 2- Emergency First Aid

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

  • Cooking: 5 years (required)
  • Supervising experience: 1 year (required)
  • Food safety: 1 year (preferred)
  • Kitchen experience: 5 years (required)
