Day Porter – Warehouse Facility (Oshawa)
Generations Cleaning is currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Day Porter to maintain a busy warehouse and office facility in Oshawa, ON .
Position Details:
- Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Wage: $18.00 per hour
- Location: Oshawa, ON
- Start Date: July 5
About the Role:
As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of office areas, washrooms, lunchrooms, entrances, and common spaces throughout the facility. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, desks, tables, and countertops.
- Replenish washroom supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Clean entrance glass and maintain professional-looking reception areas.
- Monitor and maintain exterior garbage containers as needed.
- Operate a ride-on floor machine daily to maintain warehouse and high-traffic floor areas.
- Respond to cleaning needs throughout the shift and ensure all areas remain clean and presentable.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable operating floor cleaning equipment (training provided if required).
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
