Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge is a premium new restaurant in the heart of Surrey’s rapidly growing business district. Our brand-new venue features a private dining room, two Chef’s Tables, main bar, private whisky & cognac lounge, patio, and an extensive whisky collection.
Our culinary program focuses on scratch cooking, fine-dining techniques, premium local ingredients, modern presentation, and innovative culinary techniques .
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for passionate and experienced Hot Line Cooks to join our opening culinary team.
You will work alongside our Chefs and culinary leadership team in a professional, high-energy kitchen where quality, consistency, teamwork, and execution are the priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Execute menu items to recipe, quality, and presentation standards.
Manage and maintain your station during service.
Complete mise en place and daily preparation.
Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency during high-volume service.
Work closely with the Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure smooth service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
Minimize waste and maintain proper portion control.
Support the culinary team wherever needed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of professional kitchen experience preferred.
Experience working a hot line in a high-volume environment.
Fine-dining or upscale restaurant experience is an asset.
Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen fundamentals.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
FoodSafe Level 1 required.
Red Seal or formal culinary training is an asset.
