Software Development Engineer in Test - Hybrid

Join Solink as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on cloud-based video security solutions, located in Ottawa. This hybrid role emphasizes automation and quality.
As part of the Device Management team, your engineering skills will shape the development of test automation frameworks to ensure reliable product performance. Using your knowledge in Python and Rust, you'll create structured testing practices and participate in architectural discussions to improve system design and testability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks
• Write and optimize device simulators for performance testing
• Drive integration of testing tools into CI/CD processes
• Actively participate in quality-focused design sessions
• Mentor engineers in automation practices and testing strategies
Requirements:
• 5+ years in software development with hands-on testing
• Strong programming in Python, and familiarity with Rust or TypeScript
• Proven experience in CI/CD environments
• Strong analytical skills to assess software quality
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
