Nanny Wanted - Respite/Behavioural Aid Worker

Hi there! I hope you are having a good day. I am looking for my friend, to hire a respite/behavioural aid worker residing in Calgary, Alberta. My aim is to chat with a professional employee with part-time, live-out availability. It will mostly be weeknights and weekends. Details: Julie is looking for a respite care worker for her soon to be 13-year-old daughter Sarah. Sarah is described as an "explosive child", was born with septo-optic dysplasia and has an anxiety disorder. Sarah is to be handled strategically and those strategies will be taught to you by her mother and team of therapists :) The ideal person we are looking for is highly patient, empathetic, someone who can keep calm in stressful situations, understanding, proactive and assertive. Sarah is a sweet and loving child but her mental health gets in the way of her behaviour from time to time. If you are selected after the interview, you will be shadowing the current provider for about 2 weeks just so you get a feel of how things work and are more comfortable with the position. After that, the current provider is going on vacation from April 18th-25th, so you will be replacing her for that time being. That way, Julie and yourself can get a feel and if all things are good, you will be hired for the permanent position starting June 16th.
