PRN Surgical Technologist First Assistant

Support the surgical team at BayCare as a Surgical Technologist First Assistant in the Main OR. Help surgeons perform operations with precision and care. Located at St. Joseph's Main and Children's Hospital, this PRN role requires a proactive Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years in surgical technology, or 2 years as a First Assistant. Ideal candidates will have strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in maintaining surgical exposure and homeostasis
- Work alongside surgeons to ensure efficient operations
- Delegate tasks effectively within the surgical team
- Use critical thinking to anticipate surgical needs
- Conduct training for new surgical staff members
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Minimum 3 years experience in surgical technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
