Part-Time PSW Needed for Elderly Lady (Visually Impaired)

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable PSW to assist our 87 year old mother who is visually impaired and living independently in her small bungalow home. Position Details:

• Part time, approximately 9 hours per week to start (with potential for additional hours in the future)
• Private home setting

• Assistance with personal grooming (e.g., curling hair, trimming nails)
• Medication reminders and assistance as needed
• Light housekeeping (tidying, basic cleaning, occasional laundry, vacuuming and mopping, as required)
• Meal preparation support (e.g., chopping ingredients, simple prep)
• Companionship and guidance throughout the home as needed
• Occasional accompaniment on short walks to the grocery store, or for errands (all up the street from her home)

• Client is independent with bathing and toileting; no assistance required in these areas.
• Client is fluent in English and communicates and understands clearly
• Primary need is for someone attentive and supportive - "a second set of eyes" to help navigate daily tasks safely

• PSW certification or relevant caregiving experience preferred
• Patient, kind, and attentive to detail
• Comfortable assisting a visually impaired senior
• Responsible and respectful of client's independence.
