Position Overview: We are seeking a career-oriented individual to join our Purchasing department as a Buyer. This pivotal role involves sourcing, procuring, and costing products to ensure profitable sales and efficient shipments. The Buyer will be responsible for managing inventory levels, allocating resources effectively, and collaborating closely with sales teams to drive marketing strategies. Additionally, participation in industry events to stay abreast of market trends is a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure products to meet sales and inventory goals.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute marketing strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Participate in industry events to network and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional business etiquette with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Flexibility with work hours and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, computerized environment.
- Experience in produce purchasing, sales, or quality control preferred.
- Post-secondary education in a related field would be an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
