The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for managing and expanding key accounts, with a primary focus on Grocery retail. This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and collaborating with contracted sales representatives.
Success in this role requires the ability to build and maintain partnerships with buyers, sales reps, and internal teams, while analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth. The KA Sales Manager will also be responsible for executing sales strategies, driving revenue, and ensuring alignment with Danicas' overall business objectives.
Expand and manage key accounts - Strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to grow sales in Grocery.

• Develop new business - Proactively prospect and secure new accounts.
• Sales strategy & execution - Drive revenue by helping customers find the right products, solutions, and services that meet their needs.
• Client communication & support - Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and issue resolution.
• Market analysis - Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market demands to inform strategic decision-making.
• Trade show participation - Represent Danica at key industry events to build brand awareness and connect with current and potential customers.
• Sales planning & reporting - Develop and implement annual sales budgets and business plans.
• Sales team collaboration - Lead and coordinate sales meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Assist in various Sales tasks and projects as needed.

5+ years of wholesale sales experience with a proven track record of success.

• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
• Strong experience managing key accounts with complex needs and multiple locations.
• S. and Canadian grocery markets.
• Ability to travel throughout North America (valid passport required).
• Experience in a wholesale or large chain retail environment and familiarity with ERP systems like Sage X3 are assets.
