Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an analytical scientist to perform laboratory testing on prototype, clinical trial, and commercial batches in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves executing chromatographic and physical analysis following GMP standards, documenting results, and supporting manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing analyses independently following established SOPs
- Document experimental data according to ALCOA principles and quality standards
- Identify and report out-of-specification results and conduct laboratory investigations
- Perform basic troubleshooting on analytical systems to resolve system suitability issues
- Maintain safe laboratory environment and compliance with GMP procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry or related field
- Experience with common laboratory equipment and analytical operations
- Knowledge of chromatographic separations and quantitative analysis
- Proficiency with HPLC, dissolution testing, and physical testing methods
- Working knowledge of Empower, NuGenesis, MS Office software
- Understanding of pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
Compensation: $51,200.00–$76,850.00 annualized
