Commercial Driving Instructor in Whitehorse

Elevate your career with Yukon University as a Commercial Driving Instructor. Deliver expert training for Class 1-3 licenses in Whitehorse and surrounding Yukon communities. The Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining (CNIM) is seeking an experienced instructor for a term ending March 31, 2027. You will conduct classroom, simulator, and in-truck lessons while maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates possess a Class 1 license with at least ten years of long-haul driving experience and teaching skills. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Class 1-3 Driver Training classes
• Use state-of-the-art simulators for effective learning
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Maintain a clean driving abstract
• Facilitate training in mobile classrooms near mine sites Requirements:
• Unrestricted Class 1 license required
• Minimum 10 years of long-haul driving experience
• Clean driving abstract and safety record
• Teaching experience or qualifications are assets
• Willingness to obtain MELT Instructor Certificate Bring your expertise in driving and education to Yukon University's CNIM team to foster safe driving practices.
