A food manufacturing company in London, Ontario is looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop / Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable using tools, and takes pride in keeping a facility clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Location: London, ON
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and cleanup
- Assist with repairs, servicing, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Safely use hand tools and power tools
- Break down and dismantle skids as required
- Remove garbage and maintain clean work areas
- Perform general shop and facility cleanup
- Complete painting and basic maintenance tasks
- Assist the maintenance team with other duties as required
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on environment is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good physical condition and comfortable with hands-on work
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team
