Role description:

Arcadis Ottawa’s transportation team is looking for a motivated individual with a strong interest in a career in transportation engineering as it relates to development planning. This role will be to assist the Transportation team in delivering on our projects by performing data collection, data input, report writing, analysis and as directed tasks.

This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

  Role accountabilities:

• Traffic Analysis



• Data Analysis



• Technical Research



• Field Visits/Data Collection (availability of personal vehicle is an asset)



• Technical Report Writing and Exhibit preparation



• Assistance with Proposal Development

Qualifications & Experience:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year of a Civil Engineering program with a focus in transportation engineering. 



• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal



• Experience with the following software packages is an asset: Python, Synchro, Adobe Illustrator & Visual Basic for Applications.



• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionality (macros, logic) is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $20-24/hour. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
