Lead Splunk Engineer at RBC Security

Join RBC as a Lead Splunk Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity initiatives. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining and optimizing the Security Information Event Management platform. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the Director of Correlation Engineering to enhance the Cyber Resiliency initiatives of RBC. You’ll need to possess significant experience in configuring, maintaining, and administering Splunk Enterprise Security. Engage with Global Security teams to continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the SIEM platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the SIEM platform Subject Matter Expert
- Implement and develop effective correlation and routing rules
- Tuning SIEM components to reduce false positives
- Review alerts and security context log sources
- Optimize data pipelines for streamlined operations
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years relevant experience
- 5 years in Splunk configuration and maintenance
- Proficiency in Splunk alerts and dashboards
- Significant experience with Syslog
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation
