Mercato di Luigi (Chinatown) is looking for a Restaurant Manager

Mercato di Luigi is looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead evening service in the Cantina.

This role is centered around  Friday and  Saturday dinner service only, where you’ll act as both Maître d’ and Server—welcoming guests, leading the flow of service, managing the room, and delivering warm and thoughtful hospitality. The position also includes an additional shorter shift each week dedicated to administrative and operational responsibilities.

At the heart of the role is the Cantina itself which is inspired by the traditional Italian spaces where wine was aged, meats were cured, and simple, soulful meals were shared. It brings a new dimension to Mercato: by day, a lively café and market; by night, a warm, full-service restaurant where guests are invited to gather, linger, and feel looked after.

You have:

• 1+ year experience in a restaurant management position
• 2+ year of serving experience
• Ability to work Friday and Saturday evenings
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable, thoughtful guest experiences
• A natural host who enjoys connecting with guests and making people feel welcome
• Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
• A calm and kind demeanour with guests and staff
