Molding Lead Hand

Hours of Operation 7:30AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-1:45PM Friday.

Hourly Wage $24.00-$27.00

: As a Molding Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the molding department. You will be responsible for overseeing a production team of 5 individuals, and you will be tasked with managing the setup and operations of molding machines. The ideal candidate possesses mechanical aptitude, the ability to perform mold changeouts and tool setups, and troubleshooting skills to ensure seamless production processes.

• Previous experience in molding operations.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mold changeouts and setups.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor mold machines to ensure efficient and smooth production operations. Identify and address and issues promptly.
• Supervise and lead a molding team of five (5) individuals to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform setup and loading of cavity inserts/molds into and out of machines. Ensure proper configuration of tools for each production run.
• Inspect first-off parts and complete Quality Control Report (QCR) sheets to ensure product specifications are met. Address any deviations promptly.
• Remove sprues or flashing from molded parts. Contribute to maintaining high quality standards.
• Ensure good supply of materials and supplies for production runs. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production manager to avoid shortages.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area. Identify and label boxes and packages for inventory or shipping.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, reporting any inefficiencies to management.
