- Minimiser les risques à toutes les étapes du processus de production alimentaire
- Assurer la formation des employés/travailleurs quant aux tâches, aux mesures de sécurité et aux politiques de la compagnie
- Recommander des mesures concernant l'embauche et les promotions des employés
- Préparer des rapports de production et d'autres rapports
- Recommander des mesures visant à améliorer la productivité et la qualité des produits
- Superviser, coordonner et planifier (et possiblement passer en revue) les activités des travailleurs
- Établir des méthodes de travail permettant de respecter les échéances et coordonner les activités avec les autres services
- Assurance ou contrôle de la qualité
