We are currently hiring a Contract Optical Warehouse Technician to work in our Mississauga facility! This is a contract role that will work for six months with the potential to become permanent.

Pay rate: $18 per hour

Shifts Available: Monday to Friday (11am - 4:30pm; hours may flex as needed)

What you'll do:

• Receives incoming orders from Order Entry and/or Lab (breakages) into warehouse
• Picks incoming Rx/stock jobs/orders from the designated bin locations, as per work-ticket instructions
• Scans properly all items picked, updating inventory accordingly
• Specific procedures are to be followed when picking semi-finished lenses vs. finished products
• Receives Rx jobs from QA and/or stock orders from warehouse pickers. Use of DVI as well as couriers' label printers
• Matches carefully the eyewear pair of glasses with the correct invoice, shipping label and supplies (if any)
• Packages jobs in appropriate shipping boxes
• Drops the packages in appropriate ICS, UPS, Purolator, Loomis designated bags/locations
• Prints out shipping manifests as per each courier's pick-up time
• Understands and follows appropriate SOP's
• Restock lenses

Qualifications:

• Experience in an optical lab, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment
• Standing, walking, reaching, bending constantly throughout the day
• Lifting/carrying 10lb; pushing pulling up to 30lb
