Essential Responsibilities
- Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 25T safely and efficiently
- Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements
- Follow site-specific safety procedures and manufacturer operating guidelines
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading and backfilling
- Work closely with site supervision and ground crews to complete work safely and according to project specifications
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements
- Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures
- Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years experience operating 5T to 25T excavators in a construction or industrial environment
- Finish grade experience is considered a strong asset
- Can operate equipment with and without GPS preferred
- Understanding of industrial site safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
- Valid issued government photo Identification
- Project-specific online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
- 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule
- Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
- Weekly payment of wages
- Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
- Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
