Estimator - mid rise condo

Our client is a reputable GC that specializes in constructing quality mid rise condos and apartments as well as commercial projects. With continued growth, they are adding a qualified estimator to their team.

- Able to communicate verbally and in writing and to be able to communicate effectively with trades & Clients.

- Self-motivated person, able to work as a team member but also work independently.

- Should be able to work in a busy environment.

- Extensive and practical experience in construction of hi-rise residential buildings.

- Completely familiar with drawings & specifications etc.

- Able to understand early concept drawings and be able to produce concept budgets.

- Able to provide complete quantity take offs of buildings and be familiar with market pricing.

- Prepare tender packages of all construction disciplines for trade pricing.

- Reviewing of drawings during tendering and reviewing any drawing changes during the course of tendering.

- Assembling trade bids and preparing bid leveling analysis for owner review.

- Assist and attend pre-construction meetings during design/development of specific projects.

- Be able to provide value engineering insight on projects.

- Should have computer experience with Word; Excel, Planswift or similar take-off software.

- Reliable, Punctual, Multi tasker.

Requirements

5 years of estimating experience in a GC or Developer environment 

Degree or Diploma in engineering, architecture or construction sciences

Experience in the GTA market with strong relationships with local trades, consultants and building departments
