Tumour Portfolio Director, OBU Medical Affairs

AstraZeneca seeks a Tumor Portfolio Director to lead strategic planning and execution of a genitourinary oncology medical portfolio in Mississauga, Canada. The role unifies tumor strategy across indications, manages budget and workforce planning, orchestrates evidence generation and launch activities, and ensures portfolio visibility and governance across global and regional teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute cohesive tumor strategy across indications with GU Franchise Head for global and local delivery
- Lead budget forecasting, resource prioritization, and workforce planning aligned to strategic goals
- Orchestrate medical plans, evidence generation plans, launch plans, and congress activity deliverables
- Create and maintain portfolio dashboards tracking progress against scorecard objectives
- Drive portfolio governance meetings, capture decisions, and track actions to closure
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or life science
- Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical or regulated medical products industry experience
- Minimum 3 years Medical Affairs, Commercial, or R&D organizational experience
- Minimum 3 years project management experience in matrix environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally, cross-culturally, and across brands
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Change management expertise including process development and people development
