Lead facilities operations at Verve Senior Living’s The Shores, overseeing building systems, housekeeping, and laundry in a modern retirement residence.The Director of Building Services provides leadership across maintenance, building systems, housekeeping, and laundry. This position maintains safe, clean, well-presented environments while supporting resident well-being and team member experience. The role manages vendors, budgets, preventative maintenance, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.Key Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operationsOversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systemsMaintain preventative maintenance and asset management programsManage departmental budgets, inventory, schedules, and staffingCoordinate audits, emergency preparedness, and infection control documentationRequirements:
Building Operators Certificate or recognized Ontario skilled tradeMinimum five years’ facilities, hospitality, or senior living managementKnowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, TSSA, and public health requirementsKnowledge of modern building systems and life safety infrastructureStrong leadership, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skillsApply facilities leadership, preventative maintenance, and resident-focused service expertise as Director of Building Services at The Shores.
