Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform general labour duties to support shutdown and turnaround activities in industrial environments
• Assist tradespeople with maintenance repairs equipment replacement and site preparation activities
• Handle and move materials tools and equipment safely and efficiently

• Inspect and prepare rigging equipment including slings chains hooks shackles and lifting devices

• Follow all permit isolation and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work execution
• Adapt to changing priorities and support critical path activities in a fast-paced shutdown environment
• Maintain productivity and quality standards during extended shifts and compressed project schedules
• Participate in FLHAs toolbox talks and safety programs while contributing to a strong safety culture
• Work collaboratively with supervisors tradespeople and other crew members to achieve project objectives

• Ensure loads are properly balanced secured and compliant with weight and capacity requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous labourer experience in industrial construction oil and gas or maintenance environments is considered an asset
• Experience working on shutdowns turnarounds or outage projects is a must
• Ability to safely use common hand tools and equipment

• Strong understanding of rigging practices

• Experience working with cranes hoists and other lifting equipment

• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment
• Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions including lifting carrying climbing and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts overtime and consecutive days during shutdown periods
• Demonstrated commitment to safety quality and productivity
