The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced, reliable and hard-working Skilled / Leadhand Labourers to join our team civil projects for CNRL Horizon. Camp and flights from either Calgary and/or Edmonton provided.At OCL Group, we believe in doing the job right - that starts with the people on the ground. Ideal candidates show up ready to work, take pride in their contributions and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
What We Offer
- CLAC hourly wages
- Payday is every Friday

- Benefits after 300 hours
- Paid training
- 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings
- OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day
What You Will Be Doing
- Complete tasks in line with OCL and industry standards, procedures and practices
- Assist skilled trades as required
- Operate basic hand and power tools safety and effectively
- Perform spotting and flagging duties when required
- Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift
- Site cleaning and preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area / job site
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer on civil construction projects
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing and working in various weather conditions)
- Ensure a safe team environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic
- Strong communication skills. Ability to follow and understand instructions given.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Must have the following safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive is an asset
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
