Lead purchasing initiatives at the City of North Vancouver as a Purchasing Manager. Bring your financial expertise and management skills to support a vibrant urban community. The City’s Finance and Economic Development Department is in search of a Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing and warehouse operations. The role demands strong analytical abilities, proven management skills, and effective communication to support senior department managers. You will enhance procurement processes and strengthen community services through strategic purchasing decisions. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage city-wide purchasing and stores/warehouse functions
• Oversee procurement of goods and services, including RFPs
• Liaise with senior managers for purchasing support
• Develop policies related to purchasing functions
• Supervise inventory control and accuracy in the warehouse Requirements:
• Purchasing management designation required
• 5–7 years related experience in municipal government
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proven management experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and organizational skills Drive impactful purchasing strategies for a healthier, more resilient community in North Vancouver.
