Responsibilities
- Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning
- Evaluate daily operations
- Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend replacement of machines
- Direct quality control inspections
- Hire, supervise, and train employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems, and methods of work
- Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
- Supervision of more than 20 people and contractors
- Computer and technology knowledge: database software, inventory control software, Internet, MS Windows, MS Excel
Qualifications
- Type of industry experience: plastic transportation/travel information
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own transportation
- Fast‑paced environment; work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics
