Our Plumbing Company, located in South Etobicoke, is looking for an organized and reliable person to join our office team to ISSUE PLUMBING ESTIMATES.

This is I N-OFFICE, FULL-TIME, SUBCONTRACTOR Position (not Pay-roll)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates using information provided by our plumbers, office team, customers, suppliers, AI tools, etc
• Review photos, notes, and work orders to determine the scope of work, materials, labour requirements, if any additional information is required, ask clear and specific follow-up questions when required
• Verify if special requirements such as City water shut down, Building shut down, permits are required.
• Communicate with customers and property management to verify job details, clarify the scope of work, and obtain any missing information. Keep proper notes.
• Determine whether additional requirements are needed, such as city shutdowns, permits, additional technicians, equipment, or other resources required to complete the work.
• Request pricing from suppliers when required. Keep track of repeated materials and pricing, and create own database, keep track of projects / estimates.
• Identify when additional information is needed before an estimate can be completed.

· Review existing estimates and use them as a reference when preparing similar quotations.

• Collaborate with our technicians and office staff to ensure estimates are accurate and complete.
• Prepare clear, professional estimate descriptions and supporting documentation.
• Occasionally visit job sites to verify the scope of work, gather additional information, and confirm project details before preparing an estimate.
• Collaborate with Dispatch and Accounting team, keep track in dispatch software.

Requirements:

• Background, experience, or education in plumbing, construction, mechanical trades, or a related field required .
• Familiarity with Condominiums structure is an asset
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to job sites when required.
• Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
• Good written and spoken English and accurate typing skills.
• Comfortable using AI tools to assist with preparing estimates and documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and understand photos, technical information, and basic plumbing terminology.
• NOTE: pay rate can / will be discussed and re-evaluated based on skills, performance and input.

First interview will be WEB interview.

The estimator must understand that a complete estimate may require more than simply listing materials and labour - or at least be willing to learn. The estimator should consider matters such as:

· - Water isolation and building shutdowns, - Drainage or water-system access

· - Cleanout locations - · - Power flushing or power washing

· - Ceiling or wall access

· - Equipment and lift requirements

· - Number of technicians required
