As a part of the Arena Product team, you will enable continuous integration across our global platforms, driving unprecedented transformation in our enterprise velocity for delivering world class software products to our customers. This team is uniquely positioned to disrupt the way we work at American Express by advancing our vision in levels of speed, customer and developer experience as never experienced before.

Focus

You will work hand in hand with the Product Director to understand and support, with the definition and documentation of the Roadmap, Product Vision, Release, and Iteration Plans Schedules, mapping vertical user stories to the needs of the business and ensuring product delivery meets the business need.

Reports to the Director in a Product Management organization within an enterprise technology product team.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• Assists in developing the business case for new products or features.
• Assists in the research of developments and provides preliminary input on analysis of potential implications to existing Products.
• Supports in the documentation of as-is processes for product management, product enhancements, key findings, and standard methodologies.
• Supports in the creation and maintenance of the product backlog, prioritizing features and establishing timelines for product releases. Partners closely with analytics team to provide input and prioritize analytics requests.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, and other adjacent stakeholders to gather and document product requirements and to ensure timely delivery of product features, following agile development methodologies.
• Assists in the identification of technical gaps and collaborates with broader teams to facilitate resolution risks, opportunities and changes tied to product management initiatives and processes.
• Maintain core critical metrics.
• Understands competitive and internal positioning for their product or product line through internal and external market research.
• Use analytical abilities and strategic perspective to identify trends & recommend solutions that will help improve the user experience

Required Qualifications:

• University Degree in related field required with minimum 1 - 2 years of product, marketing or project management experience
• Proven self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive results and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation
• Experience developing and managing relationships
• Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to demonstrate analytical skills, comfortable with analyzing data to draw insights to inform business strategy
• Attention to detail and unrelenting focus on quality
• Strong oral and written communication skills; emphasis on proposal development and the creation/delivery of effective presentations
• Demonstrated managing multiple projects, attention to detail and prioritization skills in a demanding environment
• Proven ability to lead change and set priorities, with capacity to be flexible and adapt with new opportunities
• Strong team player with proven ability to build relationships across the Blue Box to accomplish goals
• Must be a strongly proficient Excel and Power Point and be comfortable with the rest of the Microsoft Office suite
• Scaled Agile Product Owner / Product Manger certification is an asset
