Material Management Leader at Ciena

Make a significant impact as the Material Management Leader at Ciena, focusing on new product introductions with a commitment to material readiness, supplier management, and operational transition. The successful candidate will have over 8 years of experience in material management and supply planning, supporting NPI from prototype stages to early production ramp. You will apply industry best practices using tools like Kinaxis and Agile to ensure material availability and manage risks effectively. Key Responsibilities:

Lead material management for NPI programs and ensure readiness
Oversee clear-to-build processes and manage supplier commitments
Collaborate with partners to develop build plans and production risks
Evaluate BOM maturity and lifecycle requirements
Conduct cross-functional material readiness reviews

Requirements:

8+ years in material management or similar roles
Experience with NPI processes and supply chain functions
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
Ability to interpret complex datasets
Fluent in English
