Area Sales Manager Edmonton, Alberta | Territory extending west to Jasper and east to Lloydminster
Our client is seeking an Area Sales Manager to grow a portfolio of premium beverage brands across the Edmonton region extending west to Jasper and East to Lloydminster. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and turning a good sales conversation into lasting business.
You bring energy, polished professionalism and a straightforward sales ethic: get out in front of customers, know your products, follow through on commitments and earn the next order. Foundational experience with beverage companies like Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Labatt, Molson, or another established beverage supplier would be a strong fit.
Reporting to the Alberta Field Sales Manager, you will manage existing accounts, develop new distribution opportunities and execute brand-building programs across retail and hospitality customers.

Reporting to the Alberta Field Sales Manager, you will manage existing accounts, develop new distribution opportunities and execute brand-building programs across retail and hospitality customers.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Own your territory, building a disciplined call schedule across Edmonton and surrounding urban and rural markets.
- Grow relationships with key accounts and independent retailers, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality customers.
- Win new business through prospecting, in-person visits, persuasive presentations and consistent follow-up.
- Expand product distribution, secure displays and menu placements, and improve shelf presence and brand visibility.
- Deliver product education and sampling programs that build customer knowledge and consumer interest.
- Represent the portfolio at trade shows, community events and customer promotions.
- Use sales data and CRM reporting to identify opportunities, track account performance and prioritize your efforts.
- Manage promotional, travel and entertainment budgets with sound judgment and a focus on return on investment.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
- At least one to two years of outside sales experience, ideally in beverages or consumer packaged goods.
- A track record of developing accounts, winning distribution and delivering against sales targets.
- A proactive approach to prospecting and the persistence to turn introductions into productive customer relationships.
- Professional presence, strong communication skills and the ability to represent premium brands confidently.
- Strong organization and time management, with the discipline to plan your week and follow through without close supervision.
- Commercial judgment, negotiating skills and comfort working with sales reports and budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience with EZ Focus would be an asset.
- Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel throughout the territory, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- Ownership of an established territory with opportunities to develop new business.
