Chrono Aviation was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the airline operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Chrono quickly attracted clients seeking a comfortable, efficient, and safe flying experience.

After a decade in business, Chrono Aviation has expanded its fleet to 12 aircraft and employs over 200 people. Chrono is a Quebec-based airline offering planes that can accommodate between 9 and 189 passengers, exclusively for charter flights. With bases in Montreal and Quebec City, Chrono continues its expansion, reinforcing its position as a leader in the charter flight industry in Quebec and Canada.

Role and context

The Crew Scheduler analyzes operational requirements and crew availability to develop, modify, and optimize schedules for pilots and flight attendants. The role ensures compliance with applicable flight, duty, and rest requirements while supporting operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify monthly crew schedules and assign crew members to flights based on operational requirements
• Apply Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) regarding flight, duty, and rest requirements
• Manage unexpected changes (absences, delays, emergencies)
• Analyze availability, qualifications, and operational constraints to optimize crew utilization
• Collaborate with chief pilots, dispatchers, and coordinators
• Maintain up-to-date scheduling tools (AIMS or other)
• Track qualifications, required training, and renewals
• Communicate schedules and schedule changes clearly to crew members
• Document scheduling exceptions, changes, and adjustments
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling practices

Specific Job Requirements

• High school diploma required; training in logistics, aviation, scheduling, or a related field is an asset
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in crew scheduling, flight dispatch, or airline operations
• Knowledge of CARs (Subparts 703, 704 and 705) required; experience with AIMS or another crew management system is an asset
• Strong real-time problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities
• Commitment to quality and regulatory compliance
• Fluency in French is required for this role. Professional working knowledge of English is also required because the position regularly communicates with English-speaking crew members and operational partners in Canada and internationally, including during schedule changes and operational irregularities.
