Mining Hoist Reliability Engineer

Strengthen mine asset reliability with Peter Lucas Project Management through hoist engineering, failure investigation, and maintenance oversight. Support compliant shaft operations across mining projects.This Shaft/Hoist Engineer role focuses on dependable hoisting systems and underground mining infrastructure. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams on inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, shutdown planning, and operational challenges. The position also supports capital improvements and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:
Investigate equipment failures and identify corrective actionsOversee inspection, testing, maintenance, NDT, and rope testingCollaborate on shutdown planning and preventative maintenanceSupport equipment reliability and infrastructure integrityProvide guidance for safety and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements:
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mining, or related disciplineP.Eng. designation or eligibility for APEGS registrationUnderground mining and mine shaft infrastructure experienceExperience with maintenance, reliability, and capital projectsStrong communication and technical leadership abilitiesBring hoist reliability, maintenance oversight, and engineering judgment to critical mine assets supported by Peter Lucas.
