We are hiring for several Material Handlers for a busy distribution centre in South Surrey! We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for order picking with a scanner, packing and sorting, labeling, and assisting with shipping and receiving. This position requires attention to detail and efficiency. What you need to know: Shift: Monday - FridayTime: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Wage: $20/hr
Location: Surrey, Campbell Heights area
This is a FULL-TIME temporary position, the ideal candidate will need to be available to start immediately

Duties assigned but not limited to: - Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team lead
- Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks, by hand
- Scan and track incoming and outgoing orders
- Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
- Inspect receivables for defects, damages or missing items
- Pick , prepare, package and label goods for shipment
- Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
- Manually load and unload product to and from trailers and containers
- Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
- Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
- Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow precise verbal and written instructions
- Able to read, write, speak and receive instruction and directions in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of RF scanners and common warehouse tools and equipment Summary
