Clinical Lead Prosthetics

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, HCPC registered prosthetist to lead WestMARC’s Prosthetics service

About The Role

Based at the QEUH campus in Glasgow, you would lead the West of Scotland consortium prosthetics service – a team of approximately 25 clinical and technical staff, serving a region of 3 million people, and an active patient population of around 3000. You would be NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s professional lead for Prosthetists. You would also have a small clinical caseload.

Through collaboration with the local team and the Scottish Specialist Prosthetic Service, you would develop and deliver a vision for the service that will adapt to an ever-changing healthcare environment.

Who We’re Looking For

Professional and strategic leadership are a significant part of the post, so highly developed communication, management and influencing skills will be needed alongside clinical, technical, service improvement skills – you’d lead and manage a large team delivering a complex, safety critical clinical service.

You would be supported by an established, capable management team within WestMARC, colleagues across NHS GG&C, and the Professional community across Scotland. Formal board-wide induction training will be provided. Colleagues within the service, and in equivalent roles across the organisation, are available for mentoring.
