Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

• Assist manufacturing engineering with new and existing equipment qualification for all Genomadix products;
• Perform calibration and maintenance operations on various equipment for both mechanical and bio production;
• Assist with technical investigations of returned electromechanical devices;
• Develop and maintain new or existing process documentation including SOP's, Change Orders, Non-Conformance Assessments, IQ/OQ/PQ, ENG reports or any other engineering/processes as required;
• Perform incoming, in process, final and outgoing quality control checks on various product lines;
• Assist with the preparation and execution of equipment and product-based tests and characterizations;
• Assist with product assembly as required;
• Assist with production line builds and fit-up;
• Assist with the troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of issues on any jigs or equipment;
• Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketches of machinery or equipment, such as shop tooling, scale layouts, or new equipment design, using drafting equipment or computer-aided design (CAD) software;
• Complete quality records as required for manufacturing production;

Experience/competencies:

• Mechanical Engineering Technologist degree or equivalent experience;
• Minimum 2+ years in production-based environment;
• Experience using Fusion360 or equivalent CAD modelling software;
• ISO13485 experience considered and asset;
• Team-oriented with a strong, self-directed work ethic;
• Prior equipment maintenance and calibration experience considered an asset;
• Prior experience with 3D printing software and processes considered an asset;
• Prior experience with automation assembly and PLC logic considered an asset
