Osler seeks a conscientious lawyer to support the General Counsel's office. The position emphasizes strong negotiation and communication skills, requiring you to work autonomously and collaboratively. You will engage in vendor contracting and risk training while delivering clear communications to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and manage Outside Counsel Guidelines documentation
• Develop and deliver risk-related training for legal professionals
• Coordinate with Legal Counsel on OCG demands and trends
• Assist in negotiating commercial agreements for the Firm
• Research legal developments and prepare guidance materials
Requirements:
• Law degree and membership with the Law Society of Ontario
• 3-4 years of experience in business law firms or in-house
• Proven negotiation and drafting skills in legal agreements
• Strong public speaking and training experience
• Client-service oriented with strong relationship management skills
