Senior Python Django Engineer

Build Python and Django services at Vantage, using advanced SQL and external APIs across a remote-first team based in Toronto.As a Senior Engineer, you will build backend features, integrations, and production APIs. You will support product teams through architecture, code quality, database performance, and delivery guidance. The work includes MySQL or Postgres, Docker, CircleCI, cloud platforms, and B2B API integrations.Key Responsibilities:
Design and ship reliable Python and Django backend servicesBuild partner connectors with authentication, rate limiting, and retriesReview queries, indexes, and data access patternsDiagnose production issues using logs, metrics, and tracesMentor engineers through pairing and design reviewsRequirements:
Six or more years of professional software development experienceAdvanced SQL expertise beyond ORM usageStrong Python and Django production experienceExperience with MySQL, Postgres, Docker, and CircleCIExperience troubleshooting performance and production codeBring senior backend engineering, API integration, and database performance expertise to Vantage’s remote-first Toronto team.
