Senior Python Backend Engineer
ACV
Lead Python backend development for ACV’s VIN Decoder platform, working with AWS, Postgres, GCP BigQuery, and Redis. Standard Eastern Time hours support collaboration.This Senior Software Developer role sits within Platform Engineering and addresses complex data engineering challenges. You will shape architecture, build services, and support reliable products. The work spans multi-cloud infrastructure, database design, asynchronous flows, and operational maturity.Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to technical vision and multi-cloud architecture decisionsDevelop Python APIs, services, and background workersDesign scalable systems emphasizing reliability and performanceOptimize schemas, indexes, and complex SQL queriesParticipate in on-call rotation and production supportRequirements:
Seven-plus years programming in PythonFive-plus years with AWS or GCP cloud platformsFive-plus years using Terraform or Infrastructure as CodeExperience designing scalable, reliable systems from the ground upStrong unit testing, integration testing, and SQL optimization experienceApply senior Python engineering expertise to build reliable, scalable VIN Decoder services across ACV’s multi-cloud data platform.
