Project Accountant

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Accountant to support the financial operations of our construction projects and help bring greater visibility, structure, and accountability to the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys construction accounting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a meaningful role in supporting project success and company growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Managing project accounting functions including job costing, project billing, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Develop meaningful dashboards and prepare monthly financial statements and reporting
• Supporting Work In Progress (WIP) reporting and project profitability analysis
• Monitoring project budgets, committed costs, margins, and financial performance
• Preparing and maintaining accurate project financial records and reporting
• Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and month-end processes
• Managing construction billing, holdbacks, subcontractor payments, and lien documentation
• Supporting leadership and project teams with financial visibility and reporting
• Identifying process improvements and helping strengthen financial systems and workflows
• Coordinating with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of costs and project performance

What We’re Looking For

• Five or more years of accounting or project accounting experience
• Experience in construction accounting, job costing, or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of WIP reporting, construction billing, and financial reconciliations
• Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, and month-end accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with operations, vendors, and leadership teams
• CPA designation or progression toward CPA considered an asset
• Someone who takes ownership, solves problems proactively, and genuinely cares about doing things right

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
