Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Health & Safety Specialist who will play a key role in strengthening and promoting TJX Canada’s health and safety culture within Distribution Services. In this role, you’ll support and enhance our existing programs while helping identify, prevent, and control workplace hazards across our operations. You’ll also contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of OHS policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with our organizational standards. What You’ll Do:

• Provide visible health & safety leadership at the site level, coaching and advising Distribution Centre leaders on legislative requirements, safe work practices, and risk mitigation strategies
• Lead and support incident investigations, including critical injuries and high-potential events, driving root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions
• Influence and partner with site leadership to strengthen the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) and Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) effectiveness and engagement
• Drive continuous improvement of safety programs and culture, ensuring consistency, compliance, and active participation across Distribution Services
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building capability, with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, including hazard identification, incident investigation, and development of effective corrective action plans

About You:

• Strong knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety legislation related to the retail and industrial environments
• Ability to be flexible with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business including strong consulting, listening, and information gathering skills.
• Able to work independently/ self-leader and as part of a team, including the ability to build close working relationships 
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment

Salary Range: $ 76,620.00-$107,268.00 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
