Communications Specialist (One Year Contract)

We are on the lookout for a talented Communications Specialist, that will report to the Director, National Communications & PR, to join our dynamic team and help us achieve our communication goals. Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and manage content for various communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, social media, and internal communications.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all platforms.
- Internal Communications: Write and edit internal communication materials, including emails, announcements, and newsletters.
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute communication campaigns to support company initiatives and events.
- Social Media: Manage and create content for social media platforms to engage and grow our audience.
- Graphic Design: Create and distribute graphics for internal and external use, including social media, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting company events and conferences.
- Analytics: Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to inform future planning
- Project Management: Provide support for various communication projects, ensuring timely and effective execution
- Ad hoc projects as required
Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON
Hybrid - At least 2 days onsite weekly
Job Qualification
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a communications role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and social media platforms (Hootsuite, Canva, Mailchimp).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Creative and innovative mindset
